The Bootyguard Chronicles

Chapter 1 – Assignment

Malik Delgaty doesn’t do emotional attachments.

A former military operative turned elite private security specialist, Malik now works through the high-end protection firm Aegis Elite Security. His latest assignment: protect Adrian Vale, a rising influencer whose sudden fame has drawn more than admiration. Anonymous threats. Unmarked deliveries. A man arrested outside Adrian’s building claiming they were “destined.”

Malik’s first night on duty takes him to the city’s most exclusive nightclub.

That’s where he meets Joey Mills.

Joey isn’t a threat. He’s VIP service staff — observant, witty, far too perceptive. He notices the earpiece. The way Malik maps exits. The way he never turns his back to a crowd.

Their first conversation is short.

Their eye contact lingers.

Malik dismisses it as distraction.

He’s wrong.

Chapter 2 – Smoke and Static

During a heavily attended event, the lights malfunction. Smoke fills the dance floor. Panic spreads fast.

Malik extracts Adrian efficiently — but in the chaos, he spots Joey nearly knocked down in the surge. Training overrides detachment. Malik pulls him into a restricted corridor and shields him until security regains control.

It turns out to be sabotage — someone tampered with electrical panels.

Joey, shaken but steady, looks at Malik differently afterward. Not like a wall.

Like a man.

Chapter 3 – The Resort

Adrian books a private coastal resort appearance after threats escalate. A controlled environment. Easier to secure.

Unexpectedly, Joey is flown in as part of the VIP hospitality crew.

The setting changes everything.

Ocean cliffs. Long night patrols. Quiet conversations under string lights. Malik opens up — cautiously — about why he left military service. Joey talks about moving to the city alone at nineteen and pretending confidence until it became real.

Their chemistry deepens — not rushed, but charged. Every almost-touch carries more tension than a fight scene.

When a sudden storm strands them beneath a covered terrace overlooking crashing waves, the moment finally breaks.

Not reckless.

Not desperate.

Intentional.

Chapter 4 – The Dock Incident

The real threat reveals itself.

Malik intercepts an intruder attempting to plant a tracking device on Adrian’s yacht. The confrontation is brutal but controlled. The man refuses to speak — only smiles.

Joey witnesses part of the altercation.

For the first time, he sees the danger that follows Malik everywhere.

That night, Joey asks, “Do you ever get tired of being the shield?”

Malik doesn’t answer.

Because the truth is yes.

Chapter 5 – Under Surveillance

Back in the city, Malik discovers something disturbing: Joey has been photographed.

Not casually.

Systematically.

Someone is studying Malik’s patterns — and using Joey as leverage.

Malik tries to push Joey away for his safety. Cold. Distant. Professional.

Joey refuses to disappear.

“You don’t get to decide for me,” he says. “If this is dangerous, we face it honest.”

The vulnerability hits harder than any threat.

Chapter 6 – The Warehouse

The stalker finally makes a move.

Adrian is lured to an abandoned warehouse under the promise of exclusive leaked footage. Malik anticipates the trap — but not its scale.

What unfolds is less about Adrian and more about drawing Malik out.

A calculated revenge plot by a former security contractor Malik exposed years earlier.

Joey, who followed against instructions, becomes trapped inside during the confrontation.

Malik breaks every rule to get to him.

The rescue is messy, desperate, and real.

Afterward, in the quiet of flashing police lights, Malik holds Joey close — not out of adrenaline, but relief.

This time, he doesn’t pull away.

Chapter 7 – Off Duty

Weeks later, the threats are neutralized.

Adrian hires a new security rotation.

Malik declines his next contract.

For the first time in years, he chooses something unscripted.

He walks into the nightclub again — no earpiece, no weapon, no perimeter scan.

Joey looks up.

“Who are you protecting tonight?” Joey teases.

Malik steps closer.

“Just us.”

And for once, he isn’t guarding exits.

He’s building something instead.
